FOUNDER & CSO Haluk is the man of firsts. Being the first adman in a family of engineers, Haluk started the first strategy department in a Turkish ad agency and established the first brand consultancy company in the country. Haluk enjoys an interesting blend of cultural influences since he grew up in Istanbul and he studied in Exeter, Akron and Miami while having worked in Barcelona. After a joyful 24 years at BBDO, Haluk fired up the entrepreneur in himself and started THAAT’S IT with his friends who are as passionate as himself for finding consumer insights and telling brand stories. Haluk is dedicated to breeding new generations of communication professionals. His passion for training led him to several interesting job experiences such as the Joint Head of Strategic Planning at the BBDO University, the presidency of The Turkish Advertising Foundation and the Program Consultant for Graduate School at the Istanbul Bilgi University. Currently he is also lecturing at the Izmir University of Economics.


DIRECTOR OF ACADEMY Alper is a real curator for training programs in the marketing communications area. Despite having majored in food engineering, Alper built his career on human resources and training management. He co-founded the Academy International, the first and largest training and consulting business in Ankara, and MediaCat Communications Institute which he managed for 10 years. After venturing into the area of personal development as the general coordinator of Eğitim Akademi, he finally co-founded Thaat’s the Academy with Haluk in April 2015. Alper is currently giving lectures on entrepreneurship, communications, marketing and sales at several universities.


DIRECTOR OF CONSULTING Raised in the UK, Kenan trained originally as a medical practitioner, and subsequently had a long career in marketing, spanning the UK, Europe and Asia. He’s held senior regional roles within WPP, working with leading companies including BAT and P&G.
His involvement with Shopper, started in 2005 with P&G, and he extended his experience with Shopper and Customer marketing specialists ‘Engage Consultants’ since 2013. As a result, he has a unique view of shopper from both brand and trade marketing perspectives.
Kenan’s a marketing pioneer who understands the interplay of the digital and physical sales environments and how this links with human behaviour. Throughout his career he has championed the cause of integration, and accountability.
